Use this when you want to film a short video but do not know what to say or show. It builds a scene-by-scene script with the spoken words and the on-screen text, so the video also works without sound.
Write a script for a vertical video of about 30 seconds. Topic: [WHAT THE VIDEO IS ABOUT] Who watches it: [AUDIENCE] What I can film: [E.G. ME TALKING, MY HANDS, A SCREEN RECORDING, A FEW PHOTOS] Tone: [CALM / FUNNY / ENERGETIC] Give me a table with the second, what is on screen, what I say and the text on screen. Start with a one-sentence hook, give one clear tip or story in the middle and end with one simple action for the viewer. Use short spoken sentences. Make it work with the sound off by putting the key words on the screen.
Tip: Time yourself reading it out loud. Cut any sentence you stumble over.
Before you send it, replace the parts in [square brackets] with your own details:
Say: that is too long to say in 30 seconds. Cut it to about 70 spoken words and keep only the strongest points.
